A mature suburb is its own kind of job. Central and east Plano mean big two-story homes on curving streets under forty years of canopy, which is lovely to live beneath and less lovely to back a loaded truck under. The cul-de-sac decides where the truck can sit. The branches decide how close it gets.
The Legacy corridor along the Dallas North Tollway is the other Plano: apartments, townhomes and mid-rise buildings with gates, garages and elevators. That move runs on the building's rules rather than the street's — a freight elevator window, a loading dock, a certificate of insurance the management office wants before the truck arrives.
