The neighborhood
What a Stanton move actually involves
Stanton carries one of the heaviest concentrations of mobile home and manufactured home parks in north Orange County, from Plaza Pines Estates on Beach Boulevard to Katella Mobile Home Estates and the parks off Cerritos Avenue. The lanes inside those parks are narrow, the carports are shallow, and most park managers want a certificate of insurance and an agreed time window before a truck comes through the gate. We size the truck to the lane rather than to the load, park where the manager tells us to park, and carry the difference on foot. Because there are no stair fees and no mileage fees on our estimates, the extra hundred feet from the lane to the truck does not quietly change the number you were quoted.
Above the parks, Stanton is an apartment city. Much of that stock is two and three story garden-style buildings along the Beach Boulevard corridor and off Katella Avenue, built with exterior stairs, shared carport aisles and no service elevator, so loading happens at a curb rather than a dedicated bay. The other thing worth knowing is the map. Stanton's city limits are irregular and interlock with Anaheim, Garden Grove, Cypress and Buena Park, so a Stanton address can sit one block from a different city and a mile from the 22, the 5 or the 91. Give us the cross street when you call and we will quote the job in front of us, not the ZIP code.
