No freeway crosses La Palma. Crews come off the 91 or the 605 and work in on Valley View, Orangethorpe and Walker, so the last mile is quiet residential surface street rather than a canyon grade or a metered beach lot. That is the easy part: a truck can usually park square in front of the house. The constraint is the driveway. These tracts were built with a short apron and a two-car garage, and the front walk often runs past a lawn and a planter, so we stage at the curb, lay runners over the path and shuttle rather than force a 26-footer onto a narrow drive.
The city is small enough that most work here is short-radius. Cerritos sits across the Los Angeles County line to the west, Buena Park is east and Cypress is south, and none of that changes your rate, because we do not charge mileage. La Palma also carries an unusual amount of office space for its size: Centerpointe is a ten-building business park of roughly 525,000 square feet inside a city of about 15,000 people, so suite and office moves here run alongside the residential ones.
