La Habra is a city of postwar single-story tracts, most of the streets north of Whittier Boulevard and on either side of Harbor built between the 1940s and the 1960s, and owners here tend to stay put for decades. That makes a La Habra move a full-house move: a garage, an attic and a back bedroom that have not been properly emptied since the original owners carried the first box in. East of Beach Boulevard the ground climbs toward Westridge and the hills below La Habra Heights, where driveways pitch hard and cul-de-sacs run short, and the same job needs a different plan.

The neighborhood
No freeway crosses La Habra itself. Everything arrives on surface arterials: Beach Boulevard, which carries State Route 39 through the middle of the city, Imperial Highway across the south end, Harbor Boulevard running north and south, and Whittier Boulevard east and west. The nearest on-ramps are the 57 over in Brea and the 5 through La Mirada and Buena Park, which means a truck spends its first and last twenty minutes at signals rather than at speed. We build that into the arrival window instead of discovering it on the day and calling you from a red light.
East of Beach Boulevard the ground rises. The streets around La Habra Hills Drive and the Westridge golf course were graded into the slope, with short cul-de-sac turnarounds and driveways that drop steeply toward the garage, and above them the ridgeline runs on into La Habra Heights. A 26 foot truck can commit to a turn up there that it cannot finish. The 55+ communities have the opposite problem: single entrances and interior lanes sized for one car at a time. In either case we shuttle in a smaller vehicle from a staging point rather than block a lane and improvise.
