Orange County

Anaheim movers who know the hill and the alley

Anaheim is not one housing market. It is hillside homes behind gate guards east of the 91, pre-war houses in the Colony with the garage off a rear alley, post-war single-story tracts out toward Beach Boulevard, and podium-garage towers going up around Angel Stadium. Flexdolly covers all of it from the San Diego operation, on the same California line: (858) 733-0775.

The neighborhood

Anaheim is four different moves

Up in Santa Ana Canyon, Anaheim Hills behaves like its own city. Nohl Ranch Road, Serrano Avenue, Santa Ana Canyon Road and Weir Canyon Road feed a network of private, gated enclaves where the street narrows, the driveway pitches down to the garage and a full-size truck has nowhere to turn around. The associations run their own move rules: a permitted window, a name list at the guard shack and a certificate of insurance on file before a ramp touches the ground. We send the COI ahead, get the crew onto the gate list in advance, and stage on the nearest flat run with a shuttle when the grade will not take a ramp safely.

Down on the flat, the problem changes shape. The Colony Historic District still sits inside its 1857 survey between North, South, East and West streets, where garages open onto rear alleys, driveways were cut for one narrow car and the front door is up a raised porch. Out past Beach Boulevard the stock is 1950s and 60s single-story tract housing with tight side yards and converted garages. Around Angel Stadium and the Honda Center, the Platinum Triangle is mid-rise and high-rise rental buildings where the freight elevator has to be booked and the dock has a clock on it. Put a convention week or an event night on Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue and State College Boulevard, and the start time matters as much as the crew size.

What Anaheim's housing actually needs

Hills to flatlands

Local Residential Moving

Most Anaheim moves are short in miles and complicated in access: a Colony bungalow to a tract house off Lincoln Avenue, or a Platinum Triangle lease to a place up in the Hills. The distance is not what decides the day. We check the driveway grade, the gate hours and the elevator booking before the truck is loaded, so the plan is set before anyone is carrying a sofa in the sun.

Steep driveways, raised porches

Piano Moving

Anaheim Hills sits on grades where a straight ramp roll is not an option, and the older Colony homes put four or five porch steps between the sidewalk and the front door. Uprights, consoles and baby grands get boarded, strapped and walked on a route that is measured first. No stair fee, whatever the porch turns out to be.

Downsizing after decades

Senior Moving

A great many of Anaheim's flatland ranch houses and Colony homes have had the same owner since the 1970s, and forty years of a garage does not sort itself over a weekend. Crews work at the pace the household sets, label by room so the new place is findable on night one, and can take the discards out on the same visit. Senior discount applies.

02 / STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Anaheim questions, answered straight

We do. Send us the association name and the date, and we forward the certificate of insurance naming them, along with the crew names for the guard list. If the community only permits moves inside a set window, the day is built around that window. Our coverage is $1M liability and $100K cargo, under USDOT #4329208, CAL-T licensed, bonded and insured.

up in Santa Ana Canyon that comes up constantly, so it gets planned rather than discovered on the day. From a walkthrough or a few photos of the approach we decide whether the truck parks at the house or stages on the nearest flat stretch and shuttles the last leg. There is no stair fee and no mileage fee either way, so the access does not quietly change the price.

Only the timing, and only if we ignore it. Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue and State College Boulevard back up hard during convention weeks and event nights, and the Platinum Triangle garages fill along with them. We schedule the load so the truck is clear of those streets before the crowd arrives. Since we run 24/7 including holidays, an early start or a later finish is on the table.

A deposit that starts at $100. It comes off the total, and it is refundable if you give 48 hours' notice. The quote is the quote: no fuel surcharge, no stair fee, no mileage fee, no material fee. Basic coverage at $0.60 per pound is included because DOT requires it, and Full Value Protection is available if you would rather be covered at replacement value.

Yes. Orange County is covered by the same San Diego operation that started in 2020, one county south, reachable on (858) 733-0775. Same crews, same CAL-T licensed and insured company, same guaranteed price.
